Arrange a removalist from your old home

R&W Connect helps Aussie home movers pack up their old homes and move into their new homes everyday. We pride ourselves on making it easy for you to move homes so you can enjoy your new home from the moment you step through the front door.

OK, so you have found your new home and it’s time to face the (possibly daunting!) task of moving all of your things. A removalist won’t give you the chance to rope in your friends, but it can certainly take a lot of the backbreaking labour out of your move. Whether you’re moving around the corner, or interstate, R&W Connect can recommend a reputable removalist for you.

How to arrange a removalist

You can either spend your time trying to find a reputable provider, calling around, and waiting on hold, or we can take the leg work out by requesting quotes for you from a R&W Connect approved removalist.

Depending on the area you’re moving to, we will identify recommended removalists in your area for you to choose from. From there you can select which suppliers you’d like a quote from – and we will arrange for them to call you within 24 hours. You are under no obligation to proceed with any quote.

There’s just 3 simple steps. All you need to do is...

  • 1. Enter your postcode into our online moving home tool to get started.
  • 2. Choose the service provider and plan you want for each service.
  • 3. Provide us your details and we will arrange the connection for you.

What’s involved when arranging a removalist?

If you request an obligation free quote through R&W Connect Connection services, you will be contacted by your selected removalist within 24 hours. At this time the removalist company will need to ask you some questions to gauge your needs. These questions may include:

  • Location (to determine proximity to removalist H/Q)
  • Ease of access to house
  • Lift/elevators
  • Numbers of rooms and bedrooms
  • Distance from street etc.
  • Any specialty items

What services are available through the removalists?

  • Valet packing and unpacking
  • Boxes & packaging materials
  • Rubbish removal
  • Pet relocation
  • Vehicle relocation (cars, bikes)
  • Long & short-term storage
  • Specialised services (e.g. pianos, valuable/special items)
  • Insurance

How much will my removalist cost?

With a removalist company - you are usually quoted on either an hourly rate or by cubic volume depending on the arrangements made. This will be stated on your quote.

Double check that all costs are included quote.

Protecting your contents while moving

Check your contents insurance policy to see if it covers your belongings in transit or storage – not all removalist companies carry insurance and hence, take no responsibility for your contents in the event of damages.
