R&W Connect helps Aussie home movers disconnect services from their previous address everyday. It’s an important part of moving that can be easily forgotten. Failure to notify your utility suppliers can leave you paying for someone else’s bills until either you, or the new occupant, notify the supplier of the move.
Generally speaking, you need to provide a minimum of 4 business days notice to allow your electricity and gas retailers to disconnect your home. They will arrange for a meter read to be performed at your current home.
To disconnect your electricity and gas a special meter read needs to be taken so that your utility suppliers can produce a final account for the premises.
For telephone and water disconnections it is best to let us know at least 2 business days before you vacate the property.
You can either spend your time calling around and waiting on hold, or R&W Connect can take the leg work out by handling multiple disconnections for you. We’re a free service, and we can sort out your disconnections whilst arranging other services. Why not do it all at once? You can get started with our easy to use online form or call 1300 096 646.
